\na negative or a positive form
\nof direct action
\nlike symbiosis
\nwhich stimulates
\nmutual partnering
\nco-cooperation<\/em>
\naccording to Lynn Margulis
\neven though
\nsomething had to invade
\nsomething else to force a bond
\nto evolve life\u2026. improving
\nits chance for survival
\n~ \u00a0the story of your experience
\nstill to be fully told
\nin more detail
\nwithin the words
\nof your memoir
\n“For All the Saints<\/em>”
\nchanged me
\nforever\u2026.. stirring
\nthe blood of my soul
\nunsuspectingly
\nyou
\nbecame
\nmy mentor
\nfrom there
\nI grew
\nI matured
\nthen expanded
\nmy expectation
\nfor peace through healing
\nby improving on
\nthe overall wellbeing
\nof all humanity
\nthroughout the world
\nand the methodology
\nit would take
\nto make
\nsuch a lofty aspiration
\nmore feasible
\nthrough cooperative
\nnonviolence\u2026. embodying
\nthe spirit of Gandhi
\nKing and Mandela
\ndirect action
\n(a proactive process)
\nneeds to be
\ntempered with
\npatience and tolerance
\ntowards others
\nespecially those
\nperceived as our enemy
\nas they will\u00a0 ~\u00a0 like you
\nlearned from your interactions
\nwith others
\nand me as well
\nwithin the expansive
\nbiosphere
\n~\u00a0 all humanity
\nprogresses intelligently
\nat a pace set by themselves
\nby way of lived experience
\nand ’cause of such
\na process\u2026. and our
\nbetter understanding of it
\nwe are less likely to become
\ndiscouraged and apathetic
\nalong the way…. avoiding
\ndirect acts out of desperation
\nwhile transitioning
\nto obtain
\ntotal transformation
\n~\u00a0 a world of joy
\nhealth
\nprosperity
\nfelt and nurtured
\nwithin the comforting
\nenvironment of peace
\n~
\n…..
\n’cause of you
\nthe knowledge of why
\nand how
\nas you say
\nin your own words
\nthe ‘Saints<\/em>‘
\ndid it
\nI now possess
\nthe hindsight<\/em>
\nas I see it
\nrather than being
\nsome sanctimonious
\njudger of past events
\nwhere now
\nthrough
\nthe luxury of this hindsight<\/em>
\nI am more able to discern
\nthe negative
\nor positive effect
\nthis kind of
\ndirect action had
\n(blood poured on draft files)
\nwhat it did
\nor did not achieve
\nin advancing
\nthe cause of peace…..
\n\u2026..was the reaction
\nto that act of protest
\nthe value feelings
\nsuch a method invoked
\ndid it due to the emotion
\nproduced\u00a0 ~\u00a0 overshadow
\nthe metaphor….
\nwith its intention
\nto dramatically illustrate
\nthe message for the cause<\/p>\n

\nthe foresight<\/em>
\non how to better
\ngo about \u00a0~
\nmore effectively
\ncommunicate
\nthe cause of peace
\nthrough a process of healing
\nby improving wellbeing\u00a0 ~ \u00a0today
\nwith its myriad of circumstances
\nthe complexity of the old
\nmixed with the new
\nwhere the manner of our
\nproactive process
\nour direct actions
\nwill cause us to adjust
\nour flight plan periodically
\nsomewhat alter our path
\nwhile we doers for change
\ncontinue to navigate
\nthe biosphere…..
\nyes
\nat
\ntimes\u2026. seemingly
\nthis
\nforeboding landscape
\npolluted with indifference
\nclouded by impatience
\nand intolerance
\nwhich often stirs up
\na violent storm…. raining
\ndown on the powerless
\nits bloody mayhem
